Activities Coordinator
Rich Cumings



Hello, my name is Rich Cumings, CTRS.  I joined the Virginia Regional Medical Center as Activities Coordinator for the Virginia Convalescent Center in April of 2003.  Before accepting the position here at VCC, I worked as the Assistant Activities Director of the Woodstock Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Woodstock, Georgia, and also at Camp Courageous in Monticello, serving as a camp counselor with mentally/physically handicapped adults.  My other experiences include working at Systems Unlimited in Iowa City as a vocational instructor for handicapped adults, and also managerial positions with Panchero's Mexican Grill Restaurant, Iowa City.

I am a graduate of William Penn University, Oskaloosa, Iowa and received my Bachelor Degree in Recreation and Physical Education.  I am also certified nationally as a Certified Recreation Therapist Specialist with the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification.
