VRMC Gift Shop

In 1957 a group of women were contacted by the Virginia Hospital Commission and asked to form a hospital auxiliary, the function of which would be to provide volunteer services in the hospital.  The first of these services would be the opening of the "Hospitality Shop" in the space adjacent to the lobby in the then "New" hospital addition.

That was the beginning of our hospital Gift Shop.  Today our Gift Shop is a vital part of our facility and community.  Volunteers that include our cashiers, buyers, and those that help with displays, run our Gift Shop.
